When God called the Israelites to be a people for himself, this is what he told them: "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." ~Deuteronomy 6:6-9. God has always meant for his people to pass down the knowledge of him and his commands from generation to generation. This is something we call a Legacy. Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a legacy as this: "Something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past." Our vision for Eastwood Youth Group is this: That this ministry and those involved in it become a legacy of faith, passing down the knowledge of the Gospel from generation to generation from old to young to very young.
