Forty-one ladies from the Eastwood congregation attended “Spiritual Boot Camp” at the 2011 Pine Springs Ladies Retreat. (I’m including some old friends and former members in that number.) The total number of attendees was approximately 80 women from Buckhorn, Silver City, Hurley, Alamogordo, Cliff, Jal, Cloudcroft, Weed, Tyrone, White Oak, Lubbock, Plano, Carlsbad, the Eastwood, Montwood, Montana Street and Westside Churches of Christ.

We enjoyed a wonderful feast of fellowship as we sang praises, prayed, walked, studied, played games, and shared together as Christian Sisters. Our hearts were made full by CC’s powerful testimony of God’s love and purpose… It was truly a spiritually uplifting time.

The Retreat Committee is grateful to the elders and to the congregation for their support as we worked to bring this about. I am happy to say that the Ladies from the Silver City congregation are the organizers for this coming year so all we have to do is go and enjoy ourselves!

The date for the retreat always falls on the first weekend after Labor Day so make plans now to go in 2012!
